VOTE Do you think it is right that the landlord of the Duke William pub in Ainsworth has been ordered to pull down a smoking shelter which had been built without planning permission?

I am trying to trace descendants of my father's brother, Albert Buttfield, (known as George), who was born in 1901 in Chatham, Kent, settled in Bolton in the mid-20s and died in 1961.
He was a Sergeant in the police force during the late '30s and early '40s.
I believe he married Margaret Kelly and had a daughter, also named Margaret, in 1936. She, in turn, had two children, Shirley and Michael Hopkins, born in the early '60s.

My father, Sidney Buttfield, was one of 11 children and so far I have traced many of their descendants.
It would be great to connect the family together again and I would be delighted to hear from anyone who can verify the discoveries I have made to date.
