A Prestwich youngster and his dad proved hotshots when they were crowned champions at a regional football quiz.
Zayd Nasir, aged 11, was among thousands of football enthusiasts, sticker fans and trading card collectors who attended the 2015 Swap and Play Tour, hosted by kids’ collectibles company Topps, at Bolton’s Macron Stadium.
Zayd, together with his father Shoaib, came out tops in the regional heat of the 2015 Topps Ultimate Football Quiz.
The event allowed youngsters to enjoy a range of activities and get their hands on the last few football trading cards and stickers to complete their collections.
The father-and-son team, who both support Manchester United, have secured a place in the Ultimate Football Quiz Final in a bid to become Britain’s biggest football brainboxes at Aston Villa's ground this month.
Zayd said: “Dad and I are really pleased that we are regional champions. I love football and I’m really excited about the final so I hope we can win.”
