A HEATED argument broke out at a Prestwich bus-stop when the driver of the number 93 blocked in a woman who had parked on double yellow lines.

The driver of the bus had parked at the stop in Butterstile Lane and was waiting for four to five minutes for his departure time.

The woman returned to the scene where another man got involved while the FirstGroup bus driver stood his ground.

The video was posted on Idiot UK Drivers Exposed's Facebook page where it has been shared more than 2,700 times and viewed 371,096 times.

A message posted from the driver said: "That bus stop in the video is a terminus for 93 service from Manchester.

"I approached the bus stop and there was a car parked up in the middle of it with no driver inside in sight.

"I pulled in as much as I could but part of my bus was blocking that car. I had about 4 to 5 minutes before my departure so I switched the engine off and minded my own business.

"I didn't even notice when the car owner came back and, instead of asking me politely to let her out, she started beeping at me so at this point I politely explained that I can't leave my terminus early and that she shouldn't be parked there anyway.

"A moment later this bloke (who was a complete stranger, not related to the car owner, not involved in the situation) turned up recording me on his iPhone and talking a lot, wouldn't even let me say too much as he kept talking and shouting.

"At this point I started recording everything on my phone too, just in case."

In the three minute and 53 second clip the man, wearing sunglasses and a white shirt, can be heard telling the bus driver he is messing with a “highly trained professional”.

He says: “I have to tell you three times. One, I am a trained fighter, two, I am a trained fighter, three, I am a trained fighter.

“So if you put one finger on me mate I am going to wipe the floor with you.

“People like you need to get a real job and stop bullying people.”

The woman, with dark hair and wearing a blue dress, can then be seen shouting at the bus driver she will “report him for abuse” before dashing back to the car which is said to have had her child in the back.

A spokesman for First UK Bus said: "Bus services provide connections for customers across Greater Manchester and it's vital that stopping points are kept clear for the safety of bus passengers and other road users.

"In recent years First and local authorities have invested heavily to improve bus stop access for customers including the use of low floor, kneeling buses - which many people now rely on.

"Our bus drivers therefore need the support of the public to keep bus stops clear for customers particularly those with mobility difficulties.

"We ask our drivers to remain professional at all times and we will be speaking with our driver to review how this was handled. However, this incident does highlight the difficulties inconsiderate parking causes for all road users alike."
