A PRESTWICH beauty queen is set to represent the town in an exciting contest this weekend.
Claire Renton is set to travel to London to take part in the Face of the Globe pageant competition.
The 31 year old has been invited to compete because she won another contest in April.
Sunday's winner will become part of a team of women who will represent the UK in an international pageant next April.
Claire said she is confident going into this weekend's event and is appealing for a local business to sponsor her.
She has so far raised hundreds of pounds by organising fun days and other activities for her chosen charity, Rays of Sunshine, which grants wishes for seriously ill children.
Claire said: "I would be delighted if a business, such a hair and beauty salon, gets in touch to sponsor me.
"It will help me with the competition and give the business a platform to advertise."
