A PRESTWICH beauty queen is to hold a Valentine's Day fashion show in aid of a good cause.

Claire Renton, who is Miss Charity Hear Manchester, is organising the show for February 14 with all proceeds going to the British Heart Foundation.

The 31 year old said: "This will be the first fashion show I have organised and it is going to be such a fun night.

"We will be showcasing the clothing of designers from Little Hill People and Uellas Closet and we also have local hairdressers, makeup artists and models taking part as well as magician Laurence Morland, who has offered to do a show on the night as well.

"The British Heart Foundation really is a brilliant charity and it's one very close to my heart as my dad's side of the family suffers with heart problems."

The charity's head of event Tristan Jones said: "Thanks to Claire for joining the British Heart Foundation’s Heart fundraising team.

"Without our supporters, we cannot continue to fund life-saving research into heart disease and provide those affected with the care and support they need."

Coronary heart disease is the UK's single biggest killer, claiming around 73,000 lives a year.

Proceeds from the show will support research projects into heart disease around the UK.

The fashion show takes place at Tribeca bar in Sackville Street, Manchester, and starts at 7pm.

Entry is free and guests will be asked to take part in a raffle.
