THE thermometer hit 30 degrees Celsius yesterday with people flocking to Bolton and Bury’s parks, farms and waterside locations.
But residents are being warned not to forget their brollies if they are heading out today, with thunderstorms expected to move in at 10am.
Heavy and thundery downpours will continue to drift in during the morning, which will gradually clear.
It will become mostly dry with sunny spells for the afternoon, but with the risk of further scattered showers.
Today should feel cooler than yesterday with the maximum temperature predicted to reach 25 degrees Celsius.
