HEALTH bosses have changed the opening hours of Bury and Prestwich walk-in centres after another staffing crisis.

Due to a staffing shortage last month, Pennine Care said it 'reluctantly' closed Prestwich Walk-in Centre for a day, which it put down to a combination of sickness and vacancies.

A Pennine Care spokesman said: "Due to ongoing issues with staffing levels, there will be some changes to Prestwich Walk in Centre and Bury Walk-in Centre on Friday, June 16 and Monday, June 19.

"The centres will be open as usual on Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18."

Prestwich Walk-in Centre will be closed tomorrow while Bury Walk-in Centre will be open from 7am to 3pm.

Bury Walk-in Centre remains closed on Monday and Prestwich Walk-in Centre will be open at the revised times of 7am to 3pm.

Patients can also seek advice and support from local pharmacists, by phoning NHS 111 or by making an appointment with a GP. Evening and weekend appointments are available.
