A WHITEFIELD man has been jailed for five months after breaching the terms of his Criminal Behaviour Order.
The ban prohibited Anthony Harris, aged 28, of Glendevon Place, from touching or interfering with any vehicle without the permission of its owner, unless he is a fare paying passenger.
It also prevented him from trespassing upon the land or driveway of a private dwelling within the Bury area, and entering Hardman’s Road, Whitefield.
Harris has appeared in court several times in the past year for vehicle theft offences in the Whitefield area, and was only released from prison last month.
However, last week, he appeared at Manchester & Salford Magistrates’ Court charged with several more vehicle thefts, and breach of the CBO.
Evidence in court showed Harris had breached the order by going onto residents’ driveways and touching their vehicles.
