AN Ainsworth-born model is taking on her first charity challenge in memory of her father.

Professional page three model Lissy Cunningham, aged 20, is running the BUPA Greater Manchester Run on May 18 in memory of her dad Mark Cunningham, who died of cancer in 2012 aged 52.

Lissy, who now lives in Worsley, is fundraising for The Christie and hopes this will be her first charity event of many — as she also plans to complete the Greater Manchester Swim in July.

She said: “I decided I wanted to give something back to those who helped my dad through a devastating time.

“The Christie helps so many families on a day-to-day basis and I believe it’s only fair to give something back as a thank you from me and many others.”

In the future, Lissy plans to raise money for Marie Curie nurses who she says were a “massive help” when her dad was unwell.
