A THIEF stole five charity boxes containing less than £50 from a garden centre in Bradley Fold.
The burglar smashed a window at Bradley Fold Garden Centre in Radcliffe Moor Road overnight between September 6 and September 7.
The five charity boxes were placed next to the tills and staff believe each contained around £7 or £8. Two were for Marie Curie Cancer care with the others in aid of People’s Dispensery for Sick Animals, Cancer Research UK’s Relay for Life and Blackpool charity Donna’s Dream House.
Joseph Ainscough, manager at Bradley Fold Garden Centre, said: “Someone knew the Garden Centre’s layout — all they did was smash one window to get in, take the boxes and go but we have them on CCTV.
“The fact the money has been stolen from charity makes this even worse.”
