TWO men were taken to hospital after their car smashed into a tree in Radcliffe.

Three men were in the Audi car as it was driving along Stoneclough Road just after 11pm last night.

It appears that the driver lost control of the vehicle and careered into tree.

Firefighters from Farnworth fire station were called to the scene along with paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service.

None of the men are believed to have suffered serious injuries, but two of them were taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital for precautionary checks.

The Audi vehicle was destroyed in the crash and the tree suffered some damage as well.
