POLICE are appealing for help after a miniature ewe was stolen from a home in Ainsworth early today, just days it gave birth to a lamb.
The pedigree breed sheep was taken from the house in Bury Old Road, where other animals are kept, after its pen was deliberately forced open by an intruder.
It is believed the ewe, which gave birth on Saturday, may have been injured or killed as blood was found at the scene.
The incident is thought to have occurred in the early hours of Monday.
Anyone with information is asked to call Greater Manchester Police on 101.
