VILLAGERS turned back the clock last weekend to commemorate VE Day with a spring fair.
Ainsworth Church and Community Hall held the village's annual spring celebration on Saturday, which this year had a 1940s theme to remember the day victory was declared in Europe in 1945.
The event included a 'Best of British' hamper that was raffled, and stalls selling cakes, locally made crafts and jewellery.
The church bell was also rung before the fair in celebration of the 70th anniversary of VE Day.
