A 13-year-old girl was taken to hospital yesterday after being shot in the neck with an air rifle in Ainsworth.
Police were called to the incident, which happened in a field behind the Duke William pub in Well Street, shortly after 5.30pm on Saturday, and found that the girl had an injury to her neck that appeared to be caused by an air pellet.
She was taken to hospital for treatment, though her injuries are not thought to be serious.
Police inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
