THERE was nostalgia aplenty as Ainsworth residents took the opportunity to discover their place in the village's history at a church exhibition.
The display celebrating Christ Church Ainsworth's 500th anniversary allowed visitors to trawl through a collection of church registers and photos, with other artefacts donated by groups including the Mothers' Union, Ainsworth Village History Society, and the church choir.
Reverend Dave Thomson said: "It went extremely well and we had lots of people coming in to reminisce about our history and try to find themselves or their relatives in our registers.
"The churchyard group worked very hard to make this happen and it was a great success."
The exhibition ran from Friday to Sunday, and was re-opened on Monday for local schoolchildren to have a look round.
