A THRILLING time was had by all who experienced Radcliffe town centre's Halloween fun day last Saturday.

The highlight of the day came from local dance troupe Freak Dance, whose youngsters performed Michael Jackson’s legendary Thriller dance, in front of crowds full of witches, zombies, pumpkins - and even Frankenstein.

Children also listened to spooky tales by a reader in the market hall and played trick or treat around the stalls.

The event, organised by the Radcliffe Business Group, was the latest in a series designed to rejuvenate the town centre.

Organiser Eugene O’Donnell said: “Everyone really enjoyed themselves and joined in with the events. All in all everyone had a good time and we had a good crowd.

“Events like this help to get people into Radcliffe and show off the town centre and show that it is somewhere people can come and shop."

He added: “Freak Dance were fantastic and really entertained the crowd with their routine and everyone dressed up even the adults.

“We have had a few events this year for easter and eummer, and our next one will be for Christmas with our light switch-on, which we are looking to hold at the end of November.”
