A VOLUNTEER hub set up to help victims of the Boxing Day floods will be moving to a new base from Saturday.
The centre will leave its current base at Radcliffe Boys and Girls Club, in Withins Avenue, today and open at the former Co-operative Bank building in Blackburn Street, Radcliffe.
It will be open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and is offering home re-starter packs, including food, a cleaning kit, and a personal hygiene kit.
The centre also stocks clothes, bed linen, pet food, and a limited amount of furniture and white goods.
Donations of general items will no longer be accepted because of the huge number already received. From now on, volunteers will only ask for donations of specific items as and when they are needed.
Anyone wishing to donate items must contact the centre beforehand on 07938563532 or 07938562885.
Volunteers are currently needed to staff the new hub, lift and move furniture, and drive their own vans to drop off items.
