AN 18-year-old girl has been taken to hospital with neck and back injuries after a two-car smash.

The teenager, who was behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Corsa was involved in a crash with a Vauxhall Zafira in Ainsworth Road, Radcliffe at about 11am this morning.

Her car veered off the road and hit a small garden wall.

Firefighters arrived on the scene and were forced to cut the young girl out of the damaged vehicle.

She was then taken to North Manchester Hospital after complaining of neck, back and leg pain.

Three people who were in the Zafira were not injured in the incident.
