A WOMAN had to be cut free from her car after it overturned on a main road in Radcliffe.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to Bury Road just after 11am today.

Paramedics tended to her as firefighters safely freed her from the vehicle which had landed on its side after it is thought it collided with a stationary vehicle.

The driver, thought to be in her 40s, was conscious as fire crews cut through the roof of the vehicle.

The woman was taken to hospital.
