PARENTS called on the help of the fire service when they locked themselves out of their house with their baby still inside.
A fire crew from Whitefield came to the aid of the parents at 6.45pm this evening.
The pair had stepped outside when the door accidentally closed behind them and locked them out of the home near Coronation Park.
Their baby, believed to be aged between 12 and 18 months, was left inside and could be seen through the window to make sure they were safe.
Within ten minutes the fighters arrived and opened the door.
