SMOKERS are being urged to dispose of their cigarettes properly after a fire in Radcliffe.
Fire crews were called to a blaze on the balcony of a flat at the weekend.
Three crews from Farnworth, Bolton North and Bolton Central were called to a fire at a flat in Canalside, at around 6am on Sunday.
Firefighters found the fire on the balcony of a second floor flat and spent around 45 minutes bringing the fire under control.
