HATS off to them!

A primary school in Radcliffe went hair crazy last week in support of Comic Relief – and raised more than £300.

Pupils and staff at Cams Lane Primary School were tasked with creating hair-raising individual masterpieces in exchange for a donation into the fund.

A variety of different methods, techniques and materials were used with bobbles, hairspray, spray paint and even balloons on show.

The school council also sold red noses which contributed to the final total of £310.50.

Marie Graves, headteacher at Cams Lane Primary, said: “We were delighted that so many children made such a fabulous effort for crazy hair day to raise money for Comic Relief.

“A big thank you to our parents for all of their support and donating money to this worthy cause.

“The children and staff had lots of fun creating hair raising masterpieces with bobbles, hairspray, spray paint and even balloons in exchange for a donation to the Comic Relief Fund.

Year 3 pupil Charlotte Plant, pictured with the two coloured buns in her hair, said: “It was a really fun day as we got to be creative with our hair and everyone had a different style.

“It was a good way to help us raise money for others who are less fortunate than us. Even the teachers looked funny!”

Comic Relief 2017 raised more than £73m during its biennial television fundraiser on Friday.
