Laura Ramsden, from Radcliffe, was one of the last people evacuated from the Manchester Arena last night.

Twenty two people died after a suspected suicide bomber attack following an Ariana Grande concert.

Laura suffers from cerebral palsy and uses an electric wheelchair.

The 37-year-old said: "I was in the disabled seating area with my 14-year-old niece and her friend.

"The concert had finished and we were getting ready to leave and then there was a huge bang and a strong burning smell.

"People started running and shouting that there was a bomb. People were getting shoved and pushed everywhere.

"My niece and her friend were ushered outside but I had no idea where they were. I couldn't get out as couldn't use the lift there was just stairs.

"I had to go back through the doors and find stewards. Eventually some of them carried me down the stairs and then carried my electric wheelchair down after.

"Once outside, a stranger asked if we were okay. Clearly shaken up himself he still took the time to help us and escorted us to the safe area or whatever they call it - this was Angel Square.

"He spoke to my brother-in-law and my family to tell him of our location. I don't know who he was but I will always be grateful to him.

"I wouldn't recommend going to events as big as that concert in a big powered wheelchair as I was stuck inside for a time which in reality probably wasn't that long but seemed like forever.

"I think I was one of the last concert-goers to be evacuated for this reason and saw a number of people with blood coming from the head and running down their faces. What was an enjoyable night will now be remembered for all the wrong reasons."
