A Radcliffe schoolgirl is hoping to embark on a modelling career after being offered a place in a national pageant.

Ebonnie Brooke-Mihalyi, 11, has been offered a place in Junior Miss Galaxy UK 2018, where she will represent Manchester.

The youngster applied for the competition, which is open to girls aged 12-14, by sending a selection of photographs to the StarNow casting agency and was recently informed that she had been successful.

She will now take part in the Miss Galaxy UK grand final on Saturday March 24 2018, where she will go up against other aspiring models for the chance to travel to Orlando, Florida, in July 2018 to compete in the Galaxy International Contest.

The former Gorsefield Primary School pupil, from Forth Road, started modelling in June of this year and has since been published with Model Citizen Magazine and taken part in Birmingham's Top Model Competition.

Ebonnie, who will start at Tottington High School this month, has dreamed of becoming a model since she was five years old, according to her mother Kathryn Tiller.

She said: "Ebonnie is full of love and laughs. Her biggest dream is to be on Vogue's front cover.

"If she gets into a position where she can help others then she wants to open her own modelling company that helps others gain confidence within their own skin.

"This is close to Ebonnie's heart due to her previously having hurtful comments made to her by online trolls. It did knock her confidence a bit, but fortunately she has bounced back as her will to fight back remains strong."

The cost of entering into the event will be covered by her Kathryn's business, Kathryn Grace Makeup Artistry, who will be sponsoring Ebonnie.
