A HERITAGE group in Radcliffe are searching for a group of workers that appear in a photo dating back to the 1970s.

The photo was donated to Radcliffe Heritage Society and now they want to include it in their 2018 calendar.

The group have produced an annual calendar for the last three years showcasing a variety of images from the town's history.

For the next calendar, in 2018, they would like to include the image of seven textile workers from a factory in Radcliffe - six women and one gentleman.

The exact date the photo was taken and the name of the factory is unknown.

Natalie Lambert, a member of the heritage group said: "There were many factories of this type in Radcliffe at the time and we don't have a name of this one. But the photo hasn't been taken that long ago, so we are hoping one of these ladies - or gent - might still be around or someone might recognise their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother or aunt from the picture."

Also featured in the new calendar is a photo of Radcliffe Parish Church in the snow from 1967 and Radcliffe Precinct dating back to 1976.

The calendar is funded through a community grant and any proceeds from the calendar are put back into the society to continue with their ongoing projects into the history and heritage of the town.

The calendar is available to buy for £5.99 from Radcliffe Library or via the Facebook page, The Radcliffe Heritage Society. You can also email: radcliffeheritagesociety@outlook.com or call Natalie on 07793025885.

The Radcliffe Heritage Society meet at Radcliffe Library on the first Monday of each month. The next meeting is Monday November 6, 6pm until 7pm. New members are always welcome.
