REPAIRS have been carried out at a pub in Ringley after its roof began leaking.

Rain water had been dripping through the roof tiles at The Horseshoe pub, in Fold Road, for several weeks.

The business remained open as usual despite scaffolding towers surrounding the entrance while the roof was stripped, felted and new battens fixed in place.

A new roof has now been installed at the venue, thanks to Myers Roofing.

New picnic benches have also been added to the revamped beer garden, as well as new seating at the front of the pub.

Landlady Eileen Donald said: "The roof had been leaking and was finally fixed last week.

"Myers Roofing were excellent. They quickly installed a new roof in just five days, so that we didn't lose any business, seeing as we have worked hard to bring it back up to standard."
