THE smell of sizzling sausages and tasty hamburgers tempted hundreds of people from their homes on Sunday.
For a family barbecue was held at the Old White Horse pub, in Church Street, Ainsworth.
More than 200 people tucked into the food on offer and took part in a raffle, pool competition, and karaoke.

A children's entertainer was on hand to keep young visitors busy.
The day raised £300 for Ainsworth Football Club, which will be used for improvements to their ground in Ainsworth Hall Road.
The barbecue was so successful that organisers are hoping it will become a regular event.
Dave Alford, who manages the veterans team, said: "It was a great day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was hard work, but we are very pleased with the amount of money that we raised."
Former members of Ainsworth Football Club are invited to a 40th anniversary party and reunion, to be held on June 21 at Breightmet Golf Club, in Bolton. Anyone interested in attending can contact Dave Alford on 01204 527309, John Pearson on 01204 394007 or Brian Lawder on 01204 396002.

Eric, Sorry to read that you were not well following our BBQ and that you had an "upset stomach" Did you eat or drink a little too much? If you did not have a good time and have any constructive comments as to how we may have improved our event then please write to me care of the Old White Horse in Ainsworth and I will endeavour to make sure that we try a little harder next time to satisfy all our patrons.
