DOVES frontman Jimi Goodwin is among the latest additions to the line-up for this year’s Ramsbottom Festival.

He will play tracks from his first solo album, “Odludek”, on the Saturday of the festival, which will be held on September 19, 20, and 21.

Sunday’s headliner has not yet been announced, but The Levellers — on Friday — and British Sea Power — on Saturday — will top the bills on their respective nights.

New additions to the line-up on Saturday include reggae and dub band The Skints, Salford singer-songwriter and poet Vinny Peculiar, singer-songwriter Frankie Forman, reggae and ska group XOVA, folk group Paper Beat Scissors and Manchester four-piece Jolanga.

Manchester band The Minx, ska pop group By The Rivers and psych-folk duo Bird to Beast will also perform on Friday.

New additions for Sunday include Neville Staple, formerly of The Specials, singer-songwriter Nell Bryden, roots and blues musician Hans Theessink, singer-songwriter Luke Daniels and acoustic swing group My Sweet Patootie.

The festival will include sculptures of animals, birds and magical creatures designed and painted by children from schools and community groups.

Revellers can take advantage of facilities in Burrs Country Park, with caravans and campervans also welcome. A weekend ticket costs £66 for adults or £144 for a family ticket, and day tickets cost £24 for the Friday or £26 for Saturday and Sunday.
