A TOTTINGTON schoolboy has consolidated his footing as a talented young skier.
Ten-year-old Ethan Heyes took part in two events at the Ski Club of Ireland's home in Kilternan, south of Dublin.
The youngster raced to third place in the under-12s ski slalom event in the Irish Nationals competition.
And the following day, at the same venue, Ethan took third spot in the identical category, this time at the European Open event.
Bury girl Malisa Holt also took part in the same competitions.
Ethan has been skiing since the age of three has achieved a clutch of successes, and hopes to become a ski coach in the future.
He and Marisa were among a group of Ski Rossendale Race Club members who travelled to Ireland for the events.
