A WOMAN is being treated in hospital for "numerous bites" after a dog attacked her in Ramsbottom.
Police said today that the 39-year-old victim was taken to North Manchester General Hospital after the incident in Fern Street at 11.50pm on Thursday.
A group of friends had been socialising and drinking at a house on the street when a row broke out.
Officers said that the dog attack happened during that argument.
A woman, aged 36 and a man, aged 38 have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and have been bailed pending further inquiries.
Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to call police on 101 or independent charity crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
