A BOUTIQUE in Ramsbottom is in with the chance of bagging a top national award.

Finalists, Ruby and Daisy Boutique, in Market Place, could be named the Best New Business of 2015 on September 16 at a glitzy award ceremony in London.

The woman’s clothing store has been named as a runner-up among ten other businesses from across the country in the Drapers Independents Awards which will host the event.

Louise Bispham, who runs the shop with co-owner Helena Hoyle, said: “These are really prestigious awards so we were over the moon when we were picked as finalists.

“There are lots of other amazing shops in the running for the award and we’re up against tough competition but I believe we’ve got as good a chance as anyone else.

“We feel like winners already to have got this far, it’s absolutely fantastic.

“We’re extremely excited to attend the event in London and have even received some lovely little cupcakes delivered to the shop from Drapers.”

Ruby and Daisy, which also has a shop in Haslingden, in Rossendale, sells woman’s clothing, accessories, jewellery and shoes.

Mrs Bisphom added: “We offer a unique experience when you come into our stores and I think that’s what makes us stand out.

“Women can create a wishlist of items we sell and it’s great for husbands to come in and know exactly what to buy their wives.

“Our business has grown so fast and we are hopeful we can win the Best New Business title in September.”
