IT was a case of ready "teddy" go at the latest Fill the Hill event staged by Bury Cancer Support Centre.
Sunday's event involved a popular Teddy Bears Picnic held at Holcombe Hill.
The sun shone and picnics were out in force, with other attractions such as face painting, tombola and a "guess the teddy's name" competition.
This was the penultimate event staged by Bury Cancer Support Centre as part of its summer-long Fill the Hill campaign, aimed at highlighting its work and getting local businesses and individuals to support the charity. Previous events included a dog show, kite flying and a "shimmython."
A 5k hill race to be held at the same venue on Sunday October 4 will be the final event.
Centre spokeswoman Sue Hyland said: "The response and support to these activities has been amazing. So many people have taken part and are more aware of the work of the centre.”
