SUMMERSEAT Players have pulled off a significant coup by staging two stories surrounding Sherlock Holmes for the first time.
The Watson and Holmes production, which began at the Theatre Royal in Ramsbottom on Tuesday (Oct 13), will continue until Saturday (Oct 17).
The society had earlier obtained permission to stage the two stories, specially written for the stage by dramatist Bert Coules. Coules adapted and wrote Sherlock dramas for BBC Radio 4 and this is the first time they have been seen on any stage.
The first play called The Abergavenny Murder, and the second is The Lion’s Mane, and is being performed to a limit of 55 seats per night. Tickets costing £8 can be obtained online from www.ticketsource.co.uk/summerseatplayers
