FAMILIES flocked to celebrate Ramsbottom Horticultural Society's 100th birthday at its autumn show.
Displays of dahlias, roses, chrysanthemums and garden flowers filled the show room at Ramsbottom Cricket Club on October 11.
A presentation of prizes was made by the Mayor of Bury, Councillor Stella Smith.
Society member Colette Gowers said: “The flowers were once again of superb standard, and the baking section and children's section well attended.
“It was wonderful to see so many new and old faces taking part, the chatter around the room of explanations on how to grow this or that, where to find the ingredients for the gingerbread house/biscuits.
“A big thank you has to be said to the local stores for their contributions towards the raffles. We look forward to 2016.”
