A RELIEVED woman has found a precious necklace containing her father’s ashes which she thought she had lost.
Lauren King, aged 29, thought she had misplaced the pendant after leaving work at Morrison’s in Ramsbottom on January 16.
Lauren lost her father, Neil King, to lung cancer in 2006 and to help comfort her, she had his ashes stored in a pendant necklace.
She believed she had lost the sentimental necklace while making her way home from working a shift at the store in King Street.
An appeal posted on Facebook for anyone who may have seen or found the necklace, was shared more than 85 times.
Lauren, who lives in Bury, said: “It was in my dressing gown pocket. I must have been so tired when I got home that I took it off without realising, and then I was so flustered it never even occurred to me to check my dressing gown.
“I feel like such an idiot, thank you to everyone who shared it.”
Lauren posted a photo of the necklace on Facebook, thanking her friends for sharing her plea to help find the pendant.
