THE SECRET is finally out as the transformation of Ramsbottom's Civic Hall's garden has been unveiled.
After five years of work the secret garden and courtyard, hidden around the back of the building, was officially opened by the former Mayor of Bury Cllr Stella Smith on Friday.
The area was previously derelict but thanks to work from local groups, individual volunteers and Bury Council it has been transformed into a light, bright courtyard with a back drop of shrubs and plants.
Janet Smith, secretary of Friends of Ramsbottom Civic Hall, said: "We are very grateful to all those involved for their hard work and commitment,
"I also take the opportunity to thank everyone, gardeners and non-gardeners alike, for their good wishes and for supporting our group over the years."
The grand opening was attended by many of the people who had worked on the project and entertainment was provided by Bury Music Service.
