A DRIVER who was ticketed for parking outside of the allocated spaces has left fellow motorists a handy warning.
The driver parked in the carpark bordered by Palatine Street and Union Street in Ramsbottom, which is used for the market on Saturdays.
Unfortunately the car-sized spot he chose to park in is not actually a designated parking space, resulting in a ticket.
Simon Smith saw the man find his ticket and proceed to spray the words "NOT A SPACE" on the tarmac.
Mr Smith took to Twitter to show off the man's selfless deed, saying: "Just seen a man get a ticket on @Tesco carpark followed by spraying this sign to warn others. Thoughtful atleast"
The carpark is managed by Bury Council and not the nearby Tesco.
