A PUB landlord wants people to bring back a local beer from their holiday destination to help Bury Hospice.
Clint West, the owner of The House of Beer in Ramsbottom, has launched ‘Buy a Beer for Bury Hospice’.
The idea is that when people are travelling over the summer, they bring back a bottle of the local beer and donate it to Bury Hospice via The House of Beer, in Silver Street.
All donations will be catalogued and there will be a beer tasting event with food and music on September 22 at the Old Mill Hotel in Ramsbottom where the items will be auctioned off.
Everyone who donates a beer will be entered into a draw to win beer-related prizes and will have the opportunity to buy a ticket for the event at a discounted rate. Anyone kind enough to donate should also make sure the beer they buy has a best before date that is after the auction date.
