HEAD for the Hills Festival will be returning to Ramsbottom next year, it has been announced.

The event, formerly known as Ramsbottom Festival, will yet again take place at Ramsbottom Cricket Club from Friday, September 14 - Sunday, September 16, 2018.

Organised by the Met in Bury, the festival started in 2011 and has gone from strength to strength ever since.

This year’s event saw 12,000 people flock from far and wide to watch over 50 acts play across five live music stages, including headliners Maximo Park, Beth Orton, and the Stranglers.

In the aftermath of the festival, organisers moved to dismiss speculation that the festival was set to move to Burrs Country Park next year.

200 discounted adult early-bird weekend tickets for next year’s event have already been put on sale.

The ticket will give visitors access to the full festival weekend for £75.

Individual day tickets, and tickets for children and families, will go on sale in the new year.
