CHURCHES from across Ramsbottom held a special Easter sunrise service at Holcombe Hill this morning.
About 40 people gathered at dawn to celebrate the resurrection of Christ.
Early morning on Easter Sunday is significant to Christians as, according to the Bible, this is the time Mary discovered Jesus had risen.
After the service and an address by Rev Andy Harper, of Ramsbotton and Edenfield's Church of England team, the group retired for breakfast at nearby Holcombe School.
