OSCAR-winning film director Danny Boyle took a break from receiving awards to hand one out.
He presented the best drama award at the Activision First Light Movie Awards in London’s Leicester Square, which recognises budding young film-makers.
He showed off his Oscar statues and gave advice to the youngsters hoping to follow in his footsteps.
Radcliffe-born Danny said: “Hollywood seems like a long way away . . . it’s not. It’s always about persistence. Keep going.” He added: “It’s nice to be back and really nice to give out an award.”
Talking about the future, the 52-year-old said he is still busy promoting his film Slumdog Millionaire and denied speculation that he would direct the next James Bond film.
Despite being a member of Hollywood’s elite, Danny admitted that he sometimes get mistaken for Manchester singer Morrissey.
“I’m very flattered. I like Morrissey,” he said.
