Danny Boyle's latest movie 127 Hours has eight nominations for this year's Orange British Academy Film Awards.

Boyle has edged out the Coen Brothers for Best Director and 127 Hours is nominated for outstanding British film.

It is also nominated for the Adapted Screenplay category and James Franco is given a nod for his role in the movie as leading actor.

The score by AR Rahman is nominated as is the cinematography, editing and sound.

But the biggest success is The King's Speech which leads the way with a whopping 14 nominations, followed by Black Swan with 12. Inception takes nine nods, True Grit has eight, The Social Network six and Alice in Wonderland five.

Four Lions gets two nods, for Best British Film and for Chris Morris in the Outstanding Debut by A British Writer, Director or Producer category.

This year's British Academy Film Awards will be held on Sunday February 13 at the Royal Opera House in London.
