A DONATION towards new uniforms was music to the ears of a brass band ahead of their summer tour.
Besses Boys Band, will be wearing their new-style polo shirts when they play three shows in Cornwall between August 6 and 10.
The attire was funded by Lancashire Masonic Charity, whose members gave the band an £800 donation.
Stephen Holland, a representative from the charity, made the presentation to the band's musical director James Holt on a recent visit to the band's rehearsal room in Simister.
Mr Holland said: "It was a pleasure to see so many young people involved in live music. Keep up the good work."
