A STAR striker expertly curled a long-range free kick into the top corner at Barcelona's Nou Camp stadium.

It is the kind of wizardry that Catalan football fans have come to witness from the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

But the sensational strike was actually scored by a new arrival in the world of European football — seven-year-old Whitefield boy Corbyn Murray.

The Bolton School pupil is turning the heads of England's major football clubs and his wonder strike will do his chances of a career in the game no harm.

Corbyn was playing for Bury-based Woodbank Junior Football Club in a summer tournament at the Nou Camp when he scored a fantastic free kick in the final to make it 4-0.

The moment, from the tournament on June 27, was captured on video and has been played 18,000 times on youTube.

Corbyn's proud dad Scott said: "It was a really good goal and it was lucky that the camera was there to capture it.

"I hope Corbyn makes some people smile one day, with his footballing skills.

"He currently trains at Liverpool, Manchester United, Everton, Manchester City, Blackburn and Bury.

"My dad is from Liverpool and Corbyn loves Liverpool FC, especially Steven Gerrard and he also loves Luis Suarez, who now plays for Barcelona," added the 39-year-old restaurant owner.

Scott and Corbyn’s mother Jarunee, aged 33, are insistent that his son's studies must come first and that his love for football must be developed in the right way.

The youngster will soon have to pick which of the seven top clubs he wants to train with when the new season starts next month.

Corbyn's beloved Liverpool have made an offer, but the youngster might be tempted by their Premier League rivals, including Manchester United.

Scott added: "Whoever he picks, his schoolwork must come first and we take that very seriously.

"Corbyn just likes to get on the field and play and who he plays for is up to him. As long as he's happy and having fun, that's all we can ask for.

"We're extremely proud of him."
