YOU may have heard reports of people using their phones while driving, but what about a laptop?

Remarkable footage has been released which shows a driver using his laptop computer between his legs while navigating through rush hour traffic on the M60 motorway near Prestwich yesterday.

The film was taken on a dash cam by Radcliffe motorcyclist Brett Mullineaux who was horrified to see the driver using his laptop while driving just before 6pm.

Dad-of-one Brett, aged 43, said: “I see people using their mobile phones while driving all the time, but this is different — although I have seen it once before.

“As soon as I saw he was on a laptop I just thought, ‘what on earth are you doing?’ — I couldn’t believe it, how is he supposed to see where he is going?”

Mr Mullineaux, who posted the video on Youtube, said he is ‘sick and tired’ of seeing people using mobile devices at the wheel as he makes his way between Radcliffe and Oldham, where he works on heavy goods vehicles.

He said: “It drives me mad, I have had so many friends who also ride motorbikes who have been hit because car drivers are on their phones.

“If you bump into me, I will come off my bike and I will be going under another vehicle.”

He said he will continue to post videos of similar incidents online because he wants to show people how dangerous their actions are.

He said: “It only takes a split second and that could be someone’s family gone — I think it is really important to highlight this issue.”
