A THIEF stole a hand dryer from McDonald's after ripping it from the toilet wall.
Police were called to the restaurant in Bury New Road, Whitefield, at around 9pm on Tuesday, December 27.
A man entered the bathroom between 7pm and 7.30pm before pulling the hand dryer from the wall.
He ripped out the electrical lead before leaving the restaurant with the unit.
GMP Whitefield tweeted: “27/12 Light fingered thief steals hand dryer from toilet of Whitefield restaurant.”
A spokesman for GMP confirmed they were investigating and said no arrests have been made yet.
They said: “We were called to a fast food restaurant on Bury New Road in Whitefield on Tuesday.
“At some point between 7pm and 7.34pm a hand dryer was stolen from the toilets, before we were called at 9pm.
“An unknown offender entered the toilets taking the hand dryer from the wall before leaving the restaurant unnoticed.”
McDonald's has been contacted for a comment.
