TWO offenders on recall to prison and one wanted for harassment, burglary and assault were arrested last week.
Police arrested a woman and two men hidden in houses throughout Whitefield, from Wednesday January 4 to Friday, January 6.
A 36-year-old woman was discovered hiding in a wardrobe and arrested on recall to prison, at around 9pm at a house in Bury New Road, on Wednesday, January 4.
Officers also found a man, aged 26, hiding in the kitchen cupboard of a property in Victoria Lane, at around 5pm on Thursday, January 5. The 26-year-old was wanted for harassment, burglary and assault and had been avoiding the police for several months.
Police also arrested a man, aged 27, at 2am on Friday, January 6, who was hiding in the loft of his mother’s house in Victoria Lane. He was wanted for breach of his tag bail.
A GMP spokesman said: “There was a hat-trick of arrests of two people disobeying prison release conditions and a man who was avoiding us for several months. Their hiding was unsuccessful.”
