BOUNCERS were among six people injured in a large scale pub fight involving up to 30 customers for which CCTV images have just been released as part of an appeal.

The brawl took place among patrons at the White Room in Bury New Road in Whitefield and security staff were dragged into the "melee".

During the scuffle three men, who were working as door staff, suffered injuries.

One of the men suffered injuries to his hand as well as a dislocated finger and was struck to the head, possibly with a bottle.

The second man sustained significant facial injuries caused by either a glass or a punch, and was taken to hospital where he required stitches. He has since been discharged.

The third sustained a minor injury to his face.

Police said at least three other men were also injured in the disturbance involving between 20 and 30 people and released security camera footage from the venue in a bid to urge witnesses with information to come forward.

Detective Constable Mark Robertson said: "This was a violent incident which broke out inside a busy venue where lots of people were enjoying a night out.

"Three members of door staff had to spring into action to try and diffuse the situation and were fortunate not to suffer even more serious injuries after being assaulted during the melee.

"We have spoken to various people who witnessed the fight and have made significant progress in our investigation.

"However, it’s crucial that we now speak with the three men in these CCTV images and need anyone who recognises them to get in touch as soon as possible."

The fight happened on at around 12.05am on Sunday November 20.
