THE deaths of 22 people in the Manchester Arena terror attack has sent shockwaves around the world.
In Bury, Bolton and beyond, well-wishers have been sending their messages of support to the families affected.
Olivia Campbell-Hardy, aged 15, from Bury, was one of those tragically killed in Monday’s atrocity.
The talented singer attended Tottington High School and a parent of one her classmates felt moved to write a special poem.
Tara Lomax, mum to 15-year-old Robert Tapping, said: “I wrote a poem about Olivia and her mum.
“My son grew up with Olivia at Tottington primary and Tottington high. He sat behind her in maths.”
Poem for Olivia Campbell-Hardy by Tara Lomax
I wanted to write something
To show you that we care
We have our sons and daughters
But Olivia's no longer there
I feel your pain I feel your sorrow
I just don't know how ,you'll get through tomorrow
These words I write from my soul
I know will never fill that hole
My son he sits behind an empty chair
Where Olivia sat and brushed her hair
His view in maths has changed so much
His eyes are shut he cannot look
That class for him will never be the same
For boys and girls that feel the pain
Life goes on but you're still there
Stuck in a state that seems unfair
But believe me from mum to mum
The sun will shine that day will come
It takes time and it takes tears
Whilst we all live in fear
And Olivia will be up there shouting out
Mum live your life like I'm about
For one day you will be together
Every time you see that white feather
We are here for you we feel your pain
Alone you'll never be again
From a mum to a mum xx
