FIREFIGHTERS are taking part in a major incident search and rescue exercise.
The simulated training exercise saw firefighters dealing with the aftermath of plane hitting a building.
The exercise was designed to enhance their skills under ‘demanding, real-life conditions’ staged at the state-of-the-art training centre in Bury.
It started at around 10am will finish at the same time tomorrow.
Crews from Merseyside and West Yorkshire were on scene along with the police and the ambulance service.
